Freemans Solicitors are looking for a paralegal to join their highly regarded family team. The role will be varied and hands-on, and involve working on high end and complex care cases including allegations of radicalisation, non-accidental injury and sexual abuse; international children work; child abductions; adoptions; surrogacy; and domestic violence injunctions, both privately and publicly funded.

The position is full-time, to assist in general case management, dealing with legal aid applications and costing, preparing bundles and other court documents, attending court hearings, and liaising with clients, parties to proceedings, the court and counsel. Training will be given.

Experience of publicly funded legal aid work would be an advantage, as would be prior experience of family law but neither is essential for the right candidate who will be conscientious, pragmatic, have an enquiring mind, and keen to learn and be involved in our cases. We are a strong team and are not looking for someone who will tag along but who has a genuine interest in providing excellent work for our clients as part of our team.
