Freemans are organising an inter country adoption seminar on 14th November 2016 in London.
Lord Justice McFarlane, Mrs Justice Theis, Kathryn Cronin (Head of Chambers at Garden Court Chambers and specialist immigration and family barrister), Penny Chalmers (assessing social worker at the Intercountry Adoption Centre), Dr Claire Fenton-Glynn (international adoption specialist, Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge), Katherine Lacey (Solicitor, Berkshire Joint Legal Team), and Hilka Hollmann (Adoption lawyer at Freemans) will be discussing all aspects of adoptions with an international element, both where children from abroad are adopted by British citizens or residents, and where children from the UK are placed for adoption outside the UK.
The event will provide an update on the relevant family and immigration law and is intended to be an evening of cooperation between the different disciplines. We therefore welcome participation from all those involved or potentially involved and at every stage of an intercountry adoption.
Further details will follow and we look forward to seeing you on 14th November.
