Laura Coyle in our Family department successfully represented the father in this Wardship case in which the President of the Family Division dismissed the Application for declaratory relief sought by the applicant mother. Munby J summarises the correct principles for  contempt of court within Wardship in his helpful judgement and ends his judgement by making some obiter remarks about what type of contempt (civil or criminal) could amount to a criminal offence.
